Abdominoplasty ; If you have any or some of the underlying conditions, you may want to consider this option.
Any plans of pregnancy in future or of losing a significant amount of weight must be discussed with your plastic surgeon. Any resultant scarring from previous abdominal surgery may limit the results of your Abdominoplasty.
The surgeon will examine you and consider factors like the amount of excess skin and the state of your abdominal muscles.
These will determine the exact procedure that you will nee
Breast Augmentation : Women with small or underdeveloped breasts who wish to enhance their appearance may choose to have a procedure called breast augmentation mammoplasty. A fuller body contour can be safely achieved through the placement of implants directly under the breast tissue or beneath the chest wall muscle. In 1992, the Food and Drug Administration made silicone-filled breast implants unavailable for most breast surgery. Implants that are filled with saline or salt-water are now being used for breast augmentation procedures. Currently, researchers are investigating materials other than silicone and saline to use for implants, but these are not available to the general public at this time.
Mastopexy/Breast Lift : As a woman ages, her skin loses some elasticity, causing the breast to sag under the pull of gravity. Pregnancy can cause the breast to lose firmness and volume. A breast lift, or Mastopexy, is a procedure for safely lifting the sagging breast. In the procedure, excess skin is removed and the nipple raised to a higher position. The breast skin is reshaped and tailored to create a more youthful breast. For better results, your surgeon may recommend the use of saline breast implants along with the mastopexy procedure.
Liposuction : Many people are concerned about unwanted fat deposits that are present despite dieting, exercise and treatments developed to decrease cellulite. In the past, surgical removal of fat involved making large, conspicuous incisions which resulted in obvious scars.
Liposuction is a technique in which high pressure vacuum suction is used to remove fat cells through a small incision, 1/4 to 1/2 inch in length. This is primarily a treatment for contouring the body by removal of unwanted fat deposits. An ideal patient is one who is in reasonably good physical condition with localized areas of unwanted fat. It is not a treatment for obesity. Chronological and physiological age varies tremendously between patients, but the best results are achieved in those with good skin tone regardless of their age. The number of fat cells appear to be constant throughout an individual’s lifetime. With weight gain or loss, the cells change in size. In liposuction, these cells are removed and will not reform, thereby decreasing the number of cells and the excess fatty deposits which previously occurred in the surgical area.
